We hope you will choose to serve on a committee each year.
Although not required, joining a committee is a wonderful way to become involved in the work of the Giving Circle and to get to know other members. If you have questions and would like to talk about committee participation, you are welcome to e-mail or call committee co-chairs.
Members of the Circle can choose to serve on one or more of the following committees with the exception of the Nominating Committee, Steering Committee, and Visioning Committee:
Communications Committee »
The Communications Committee is the primary conduit for information between and among Circle members. The committee is responsible for BWGC newsletters, periodic news releases, Facebook postings and other social media communications, as well as managing the BWGC website.
Education Committee »
The Education Committee is the continuing education arm of the Circle, offering programs to members about issues germane to the mission of the Circle and about the Circle grantees and their work. The committee plans Full Circle meetings and occasional briefing breaks and site visits. Circle Reads, the BWGC book club, meets twice a year to discuss books on topics relevant to the Circle’s mission.
