Vocational Baking Enterprise at The Samaritan Women

The Samaritan Women (TSW) strives to provide a therapeutic home environment with supportive services to help survivors of domestic sex trafficking women reimagine and reclaim their lives, and become healthy, contributing, and employed members of society. It offers a comprehensive residential treatment program on 23 acres in the Baltimore area.

As part of this residential program, TSW provides vocational training and paid employment in a real world onsite baking business. The program helps participants expand their job skills, and earn money, while bringing the organization a sustainable income stream.

The Baltimore Women’s Giving Circle grant helped The Samaritan Women acquire supplies and equipment to expand this program.
