St. Mary's Outreach Center (SMOC) supports older adults, almost all women, facing economic insecurity who live in Hampden and surrounding zip codes, to continue to live on their own. Staff assist clients with completing applications for energy assistance, SNAP, and other benefits and advocate for clients when there are benefit interruptions or when they face eviction. Assistance in completing online applications is a special need of this demographic.
BWGC's grant will be applied to staff salaries and other operational costs.
