Urban Alliance (UA) believes that every young person deserves an equal opportunity to become self-sufficient. But for many – particularly low-income youth and young people of color – this opportunity remains out of reach. UA's mission is to empower economically disadvantaged young people to aspire, work, and succeed.
Building Our Nation's Daughters, Inc. provides two-generation mentoring to black single mothers and their daughters in grades 5 - 12 in several Baltimore City schools, increasing positive relationships, economic mobility, and educational achievement of single-mother households.

Member Since 2010
I joined the Giving Circle primarily to help improve the lives of women and children in Baltimore, but I find that I have received more than I have given. I have learned much about my city and have been inspired by the courage and determination of women who work in challenging circumstances to make a difference in their communities. And I have made wonderful new friends and have been equally inspired by their caring commitment to Baltimore.
Connecting women. Improving lives.
Through collective giving and collaboration, The Baltimore Women's Giving Circle seeks to empower women and their families in the greater Baltimore area to achieve self-sufficiency.
