Caring for Homeless Children and Young Families

Health Care for the Homeless (HCH) strives to prevent and end homelessness for individuals and families by providing quality, integrated health care and promoting access to affordable housing and sustainable incomes through direct service, advocacy, and community engagement.

Health Care for the Homeless provides medical care, mental health services, dental care, case management, addiction treatment, outreach, supportive housing, and more. Women and children comprise the fastest growing segment of the homeless. HCH deploys a full-service mobile clinic with two exam rooms that serves this population wherever they stay.

The Baltimore Women’s Giving Circle grant helped extend primary and behavioral health care to these vulnerable individuals.
