St. Francis Neighborhood Center Power Project

St. Francis Neighborhood Center aims to end generational poverty in the Reservoir Hill area of Baltimore City by educating children, inspiring self-esteem, fostering self-improvement, and strengthening connections to the community.

Its programs and services include the after-school Power Project, which serves children aged 5- to 15 years old. PP provides after-school academic tutoring, instruction in art and life skills, and mentoring for 50 children four days each week. Each child has an individualized plan that includes both short-term and long-term goals.

The Baltimore Women’s Giving Circle grant enabled the Power Project to enhance its after-school curriculum by purchasing additional supplies and providing transportation from more schools to the St. Francis Neighborhood Center.
