St. Mary's Outreach Center - General Operations

St. Mary’s Outreach Center (SMOC) helps older adults meet the challenge of living self-sufficiently with dignity and respect.

Located in Hampden and the surrounding area, SMOC supports seniors with a variety of programs.  The standard benefit programs help connect their clients to include Homeowners and Renters Tax Credits, Maryland Energy Assistance, 43% Discount on Water Bills, all aspects of Medicare, Food Stamps, and “My Groceries to Go” sign-up and distribution. SMOC also hosts social and educational events. These events not only provide opportunities for a nutritious hot meal and educational opportunities, but they combat the issue of isolation. This year, SMOC will launch a new Fall Risk project that emphasizes public awareness and education

The Baltimore Women's Giving Circle grant was used to sustain comprehensive case management services necessary to provide support of fiscal and emotional areas of need for senior aged 55+ in community and caregiving environments, specifically the Fall Risks Project.
