The Summer Mathematics Academy is a new program designed to directly reduce the gap between tested math performance and state averages for in-coming 6th grade girls and to aid high school girls working to obtain required credits in math for graduation which they have so far not earned. The program would also help students to strengthen competency in advanced studies by setting the foundation for comfort with and understanding of math.
BWGC funds will cover salary costs for teachers.
