Todo Una Familia

Adelanté Latina! is a free, 3-year, college-prep program for underserved Latina girls from low-income families. There are now 40 alumnae in or entering college who want to stay connected to the Adelanté Latina! peers and the organization. A newly hired Alumnae and Family Outreach Coordinator will connect with graduates on a regular basis (more frequently with freshman) to see how they are doing and link them to resources regarding academics, mental health, and other issues in and outside the college community. Our Coordinator will create an alumnae directory, an alumnae association and develop programming centered around their interests and needs. An average of 86% of participants complete the program, 100% of them have been accepted by colleges, 90% enrolled - each the first in her family to do so. Nationally the average for Latino college enrollment is 47%.

BWGC funds support the Alumnae and Family Outreach Coordinator.
