CASA's Women's Initiative is an expansion of the Fostering Futures program that trains and supports volunteers to meet the needs of older youth in care. Youth aging out of foster care can have inadequate preparation for self-sufficiency and even face homelessness. The Women’s Initiative focuses on mitigating the unique challenges many of the young women may face, including pregnancy, motherhood, or becoming ensnared in sex trafficking.
Circle funds will be used to support the staff responsible for the implementation, management and assessment of the Women's Initiative.
