The Childcare Training Program provides 150+ hours of training needed for certification as an assistant in the Federal Head Start Program, meeting the Maryland State requirements for work in child care, and putting graduates on the path to licensure for Family Child Care. The training is provided in English and Spanish and enrolls 30 women in total. This training program is a response to both the communities’ need for safe, educationally sound child care and the need of local individuals for job training that provides a career path forward.
Circle funds will cover the trainer and professional development coordinator.
