FoodWorks Culinary Training Program

FoodWorks, the Maryland Food Bank's culinary workforce development program, trains low-income individuals to start careers in the culinary and hospitality industry through hands-on experience, by preparing meals for food insecure communities.  69% of FoodWorks students graduating from the program in the last 4 cohorts are women from Baltimore City and County - 2 of the highest food-insecure populations in Maryland. FoodWorks offers job training, work readiness, work experience and a supervised job search to women in a field that rewards effort, doesn't require a formal education, and allows lapses in your resume. Graduates gain the skills and knowledge to create well-balanced meals and assure a healthier future for their own families.
