Computer Literacy Program

Immigration Outreach Service Center (IOSC) offers arange of resettlement resources, as well as tutoring for children and English language classes for adults. In 2012, IOSC introduced a Computer Literacy Course for immigrant women, many of whom arrive with limited education and job skills. The course is a ten-week computer course where the women learn basic computer skills - opening and closing programs, word processing, file creation, printing, email, online searches - that enable them to search for and apply for a job, access legal, educational, and healthcare information and navigate public transportation.

Circle funds will allow IOSC to sustain and expand the Computer Literacy Program.
