FoodWorks Culinary Training Program

FoodWorks Culinary Training program, a project of the Maryland Food Bank, trains low-income students from Baltimore City and County, the majority of whom are women, for successful careers in the culinary and hospitality industry. It includes a rigorous curriculum and in-the-kitchen experience. The 12-week program has 10-15 participants per class and 4 cohorts per year. FoodWorks is establishing a new classroom at Under Armour House at Fayette community center, which will include a computer lab for technology training.

Circle funds will augment the start-up costs of the new classroom and the weekly stipend for students receive.
