Sarah's Hope is a comprehensive, warm, nurturing family shelter providing services to 40-45 families experiencing homelessness in a recently renovated, attractive, 3-story former school building that has compact yet private 1-2 family units. Since 2008, Sarah's Hope has operated at near 100% capacity as a comprehensive family shelter in Baltimore's Sandtown-Winchester neighborhood. Services include meals, laundry, a computer room and clothing. Individualized family services address childcare, transportation, bad credit, economic self-sufficiency (workforce development), and resolving criminal history. As a result, 95% attain permanent housing.
