Sisters Circle is a mentoring program that builds meaningful connections with young women of color and provides opportunities to advance their educational and career paths, serving girls and young women from middle school through post-secondary education and employment. Evidence-based strategies deployed include: one-to-one mentorship, after school programs,  mentor-mentee events, summer camps, and high school and college/ career readiness. At the end of the sixth grade, each student is paired with a one-to-one mentor who will serve as a consistent presence throughout the middle and high school years. A robust body of research reflects that formal mentoring programs can make a crucial difference in the middle and high school years. 99% of high school seniors matriculate to college or vocational training and 90% of mentor-mentee matches continue from middle school through high school.
