This project will build academic and English language skills for over 40 immigrant and refugee high school girls in Baltimore City. These girls, who speak more than 10 languages, will learn English in an academic setting, as well as on the soccer field.
BWGC funds will allow SWB to build on their successful middle school girls soccer program and will allow these girls to “graduate” into a high school girls' academic program, continuing to build confidence and self-sufficiency.
